Elizabethtown, KY – (October 29, 2014) – Akebono Brake Corporation announces that one of its plants, AkebonoBrake, Elizabethtown Plant, won the General Motors 2014 Supplier Quality Excellence Award among 1,506 suppliers located worldwide for supplying the highest levels of quality performance over the past 12 months. The award ceremony was held at Cobo Center in Detroit, MI on September 24. There to accept this award on behalf of the company was Ted Saito, president and chief executive officer, North American operations, and Lisa Vollmert, director, original equipment sales, North American operations.
