Akebono works closely with OEMs and suppliers to develop a full range of brake products that provide improved noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) performance and maximum total value. Our foundation brake products includes front calipers, rear calipers with or without integral parking brakes, and drum brakes for both service and parking applications.

The performance of Akebono brakes is optimized using our advanced friction materials. However, they can be matched with another supplier’s brake friction material, if required.

Our rigorous brake standards and specifications are met through the Akebono Production System (APS) that virtually guarantees minimal process variation in all phases of brake production. As a result, Akebono brakes are standard equipment on many of the highest-rated vehicles in the world.
