FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Akebono has appointed new Executives for its
North American Operations.
Kanji Miyajima is appointed CEO and President of Akebono Brake Corporation in North America. Miyajima succeeds Kazuo Matsumoto, who is named Assistant Head of the Manufacturing Division at Akebono's Global Corporate office in Japan.
Prior to being appointed to CEO and President, Miyajima served as Executive Vice President responsible for Finance, Administration and Information Technology for Akebono Brake Corporation.
David K. Wheeler is appointed to Vice President of Administration for Akebono
Brake Corporation. Wheeler was recently an Operations Executive for Akebono'
s Brake Manufacturing Plant in Columbia, South Carolina.
The above appointments were effective November 1, 2011.
