SUMMARY

This Test Engineer will test, develop and validate new and/or improved automotive wheel end product designs (individual components as well as assemblies) or new applications of existing designs. Specific experience in the validation and development of wheel end products (rotors, drums, hubs, knuckles, and/or corner modules) is desired. Additional experience in the validation and development of foundation brakes (caliper assemblies and drum brake assemblies) is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.S.) from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Higher consideration will be given to; Masters Degree in Engineering (M.S.) for education and/or 3-5 years job experience directly related to rotor/drum validation work experience at a company which supplies the passenger car and light truck market. Additional experience in validation and development of related mechanical devices, including other foundation brake components, is also acceptable.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic functions and probability. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASON ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Valid driver's license required.
